The child is assessed by a certified Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) using a standardized assessment tool such as the Woodcock-Johnson IV Tests of Achievement. If possible, a parent, student, and teacher interview will also be conducted. A written report with findings and recommendations will be provided.
Formal assessments utilizing a standardized test can take between 2-3 hours depending on the individual. Informal assessments are shorter and can take up to an hour. Several breaks will be provided throughout the session.
This is always an option. However, your school district may feel that testing is not warranted. If they do, they have three months before they are required to provide you with results. Completing an evaluation with Student Educational Assessments & Consulting provides you with answers to your concerns in weeks and use that extra time to develop a plan of action.
Our prices vary depending on the subject, level, and duration of the session. Please contact us for more information.
